I’ve just returned from the graduate post-application visit day at Edinburgh – ie basically an open day for graduate students holding offers. It was FAB!! I loved Edinburgh (which I’ve only ever been through on the train before) and I loved the vet school – the new facilities are incredible, particularly the small animal hospital, and the building work that is going on will put it as one of the best centres for Veterinary Medicine in Europe, if not the world. And it is nestled in the snow-capped Scottish hills, making it very picturesque and a lovely place to work and study, as well as to relax (they even have their own herd of Exmoor Ponies, owned and used by the Dick Vets!). Anybody reading this who was there, leave a message and we can compare notes!
I noticed the issue of £20,900 per year wasn’t addressed in any of the talks though…
