Called in at the vets yesterday (no, I wasn’t ill, before you ask 
) to take down the names and contact details of the major British veterinary pharmaceutical companies to write to regarding sponsorship and funding. Now usually I think I’m pretty good at writing letters etc, but I’m finding this one really hard – how do you write to someone you’ve never met and ask them to give you money? Obviously I think it’s a worthwhile cause – I wouldn’t be doing it otherwise. And without this money, I simply am not going to be able to study to become a vet. But how do you convince a stranger that their donation is the last step to determining whether you get the career and life that you want? There’s an awful lot riding on this. :/ Wish me luck.
