Exciting Post

Notts Magnet

My postie-stalking campaign reached its climax today, as I received my offer letter through from Nottingham. An exciting day in the life of Vet Liz! It was also hand-signed by the Dean of the Vet School, which says a lot in my opinion. Enclosed with the letter was the magnet pictured above. Now, what better criteria to choose your Vet School than on the quantity and quality of freebies they send you?!

Postal Anxiety

In the time between having finally heard back from the last vet school that I applied to, and my first interview I had a brief couple of weeks of bliss… because my Postal Anxiety had subsided. I no longer felt the need to spring to the front door the moment I heard the postman’s bicycle being leaned against the front fence (a noise which my ears have become acutely attuned to). Although I still gave a conditioned jolt every time I heard it, I could then relax in the knowledge that he would only be carrying bills and bank statements – not vet school news.

However, having had my first interview, the Postal Anxiety has returned. And it looks like I’m in for PA and postman-stalking until the end of March now.

I wonder if he realises that he has such a profound effects on people!

Postman-stalking

I saw the postman coming up the driveway today so I was practically ready to catch the post when it arrived.  Yes, I’m getting a little obsessive now, but I know I’m not the only wannabe vet out there who is stalking the postman!

Anyway, still no news, but I did receive some interesting journals from UKVet which I will be poring over in the next few days.  I’m such a geek, getting excited over receiving a magazine with an infected pad wound on the front, but I just love it.  :)
